The Nuon Solar Team consists of ten students from TU Delft. After a rigorous selection procedure, a team was put together from various faculties. Among the faculties represented are Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Technical Earth Sciences and Technical Administration. With their technical knowledge, creative insights and practical manner, the 2018 team has only one goal; to make the Nuna9S the smartest solar car in the world.
More than 4,500 km straight through the changeable landscape of South Africa
From September 22 to 29, Nuna9S will compete in the 2018 Sasol Solar Challenge in South Africa. Participating cars must use only solar energy to reach the finish line. The race will take teams from Pretoria, in the northeast, to Stellenbosch near Cape Town on the west coast. On September 29, the teams will finish in Stellenbosch. The next day, on September 30, all participants will drive together to Cape Town for the official tribute.
Meilink secures flawless packaging
For this Challenge too, Meilink, with its clever, sophisticated packaging, will ensure that the valuable and fragile Nuna9S can be transported to South Africa, and back, undamaged. The Nuon Solar Team: "Meilink's contribution has ensured that we were able to prepare well for the Sasol Solar Challenge in South Africa."
