Work Planner

What will you do?

As a work planner, you have an important role in the process that precedes our orders and assignments. You are responsible for the technical preparation of production and packaging orders of our customers and you do the commercial guidance. Indeed, you are closely involved in the planning and contribute to the most effective and efficient way of production by indicating the optimal production method. In doing so, you establish what needs to be done from the beginning to the end of a packaging project and take care of the organization and planning of the work, manpower and materials. Even during the project, you constantly monitor the project to ensure that no delays or cost overruns occur. You check job orders and discuss any discrepancies with your supervisor, team leaders, sales and purchasing staff. As an extension, you take initiatives to continuously improve the applied processes, leading to reduced lead times and less waste.

This is a varied position where every day is different and a hands-on mentality is important. At the same time, you have an eye for detail and go for maximum results. Your duties include:

• Working out production orders regarding work to be performed, machine and man hours and quantities of materials and parts.
• You will create a production plan, taking into account delivery times, availability of machines, materials/parts and man hours.
• You signal any problems and shortages to the team leader or colleagues in the business office, supplying departments and make proposals for solutions, or implement these solutions immediately.

You will join an organization with short lines where your input is valued. You will be part of the business office department. Thanks to your out-of-the-box thinking, you ensure that a packaging project is produced as efficiently as possible.
