Work Planner

Do you like variety in your work? And do you like to contribute to the most efficient production of packaging parts? Then we are looking for you!

What will you do?

As a work preparer you have an important role in the process that precedes our orders and assignments. You are responsible for the technical preparation of production and packaging orders of our customers and you do the commercial supervision. You are closely involved in the planning and contribute to the most effective and efficient way of producing by indicating the optimal production method. You determine what needs to be done from the beginning to the end of a packaging project and you take care of the organization and planning of the work, manpower and material. Also during the project you constantly monitor the project, to ensure that no delays occur and that there is no cost overrun. You check the order forms and discuss any deviations with your supervisor, team leaders, sales and purchasing staff. By extension, you take initiatives to continuously improve the applied processes, so that this leads to shortened lead times and less waste.

This is a varied position where every day is different and a hands-on mentality is important. At the same time, you have an eye for detail and go for maximum results. Your duties will include:

  • Working out production orders regarding work to be performed, machine and man hours, and quantities of materials and parts.
  • You will create a production plan, taking into account delivery times, availability of machines, materials/parts and man hours.
  • You signal any problems and shortages to the team leader or colleagues in the business office, supplying departments and make proposals to reach a solution, or implement this solution immediately.

You will end up in an organization with short lines where your input is valued. You will be part of the business office department. Thanks to your out-of-the-box thinking, you ensure that a packaging project is produced as efficiently as possible. By working together and sharing knowledge, insights and production methods, you will contribute to the growth of Meilink Boxmeer!

What do you bring?

  • MBO+ education in a technical direction.
  • Demonstrated affinity for engineering, technical and spatial understanding.
  • Good MS office skills and preferably knowledge of ERP system.
  • Knowledge of and experience with digital drawing programs is a plus.
  • You are pragmatic, stress resistant and can switch quickly in a hectic environment. You are also results-oriented and set the right priorities.

What makes us fun?

In addition to a good salary, we offer a nice package of benefits. Are you doing well and have you shown your talent? Then you will be given the opportunity to learn and grow. Working at Meilink is never boring. There are always unexpected twists in projects and many things have to be realized under time pressure, because the plane or boat 'never waits'. Working as a team, short lines and supporting each other are therefore very important to us.
